Cullimore Engineering Ltd, also known as CEL, has been in the precision engineering business for 40 years.
From humble beginnings in Ian Cullimore’s garage, Cullimore Engineering’s continuous growth has led to investing in a purpose designed workshop in the Ashburton Business Estate.
With recent growth, Cullimore Engineering has increased staff numbers to keep up with work demand. Developing skills in house has always been a key value for Cullimore Engineering, with our most experienced employee having worked here for three decades.
CEL has trained a number of apprentices over the years, with several receiving apprentice of the year awards. Cullimore Engineering has worked on everything from chairlifts for ski fields across Australasia and local irrigation systems, to pumps, and building earth rod driver rigs and hydro-generation systems.
We also provide preventative maintenance and breakdown repair services for numerous manufacturing companies in the Canterbury area.
At Cullimore Engineering, we pride ourselves on our ability to solve problems. CEL has become renowned for ‘outside of the box’ solutions for client issues.
Cullimore Engineering’s wide variety of solutions is backed up with an array of machining, fabrication and fitting capabilities. Our machine range includes; three CNC lathes, one CNC vertical machining centre, one CNC horizontal borer, five centre lathes, one manual vertical lathe, one manual horizontal borer as well as manual milling and grinding capabilities.
Our fabrications capacity comes from a range of welders, welding tables, saws, punch and shears.
