Earth Rod Units

Cullimore Engineering Ltd started manufacturing earth-rod units almost two decades ago.  Since then we have built a variety of earth-rod drivers, both truck mounted and excavator mounted for a range of clientele.

The most recent build was a truck for NETcon, Timaru.  The driver was customised to suit an Isuzu truck.  It incorporated Cullimore Engineering’s latest driver technology, a Deutz power unit and a first-of-its-kind, interlocked guarding system. 

The truck was designed, manufactured and built within a three-month timeframe.  Cullimore Engineering continues to work with NETcon for their ongoing servicing and training requirements. 

Another first-of-its-kind build by CEL was the excavator mounted driver system.  This system was requested by Powernet, Invercargill to assist them in difficult access areas. Using our connections in the hydraulics industry, we redesigned the system to allow the driver to work as a quick hitch attachment onto a 12-ton excavator.   The unit was delivered mounted on a custom trailer.
